The first movie to lock the Sankranthi 2024 date was teja Sajja's HanuMan, which was released in 2023—nearly seven months ahead of schedule. The same position was later held by actors like guntur Kaaram, Na Saami Ranga, and Saindhav, however, and it has since been contentious for theatres. It appears that the young hero wants to go cautiously this time, even if he and HanuMan scored a blockbuster during this tournament.
Teja Sajja revealed the film's title and gave a sneak peek today. The movie will be released in theatres on april 18, 2025. It is precisely one year later. Many people are perplexed as to why the actor is revealing the release date nearly 365 days in advance. The protagonist explains that he wants to establish the date now to prevent any problems down the road. Given that the movie has already completed 50% of its shooting, a release is very certainly imminent. That does not exclude other films that aim to capture Summer from competing, though.
In the meanwhile, everyone will undoubtedly gain if tollywood adheres to the previously declared dates and doesn't rearrange the release sequence of high-profile films. We've seen in past years how the changes made to Jawaan, Animal, and lastly, Salaar seriously disrupted the overall releases and contributed to the Sankranthi conflict.
