Fans of Marvel, now is your moment to celebrate! In Avengers 5, Marvel Studios is bringing together a sizable number of the strongest characters on Earth. A new development relates to Marvel Studios' search for a director for the film.
The project, which was once named as Avengers: The Kang Dynasty before Jonathan Majors left to play the evil Kang the Conqueror, is reportedly in discussions for filmmaker Shawn Levy, of Deadpool and Wolverine, to take over. Shawn Levy reportedly rejected down a mid-March offer from Marvel Studio to direct the picture. Levy declined the opportunity since he was working on the last season of Stranger Things in addition to finishing Deadpool and Wolverine.
Furthermore, according to the source, "more than 60 MCU characters could reprise their roles" in "one of Marvel's largest productions to date" and a "ensemble feature." The six main leads from the previous Avengers films—Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner)—will be back in the new film, which will feature over sixty MCU characters.
The names listed in the report are Original Avengers co-stars Hemsworth and Ruffalo, doctor Strange’s Benedict Cumberbatch, Shang-Chi’s Simu Liu, Guardians of the Galaxy’s Karen Gillan, and Loki’s tom Hiddleston.
