Ranveer Singh Reveals Name He Shortlisted for His Baby
Ranveer Singh and deepika padukone recently welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on Sunday, september 8, in Mumbai. While fans eagerly await the announcement of their daughter's name, Ranveer had previously shared his naming preferences on his show, The Big Picture.
During an episode of the show, Ranveer, while speaking with a contestant named Shauryaveer, mentioned that he was compiling a list of names for his future child. He playfully asked if he could use the name ‘Shauryaveer Singh,’ stating, “Main shortlist bana raha hoon names ke. Aap mind nahi karenge to mai le lu aapse, Shauryaveer Singh?” (I am shortlisting names. Would you mind if I take ‘Shauryaveer Singh’ from you?).” Given that their baby is a girl, it seems Ranveer and deepika may not use this particular name.
In a 2022 interview promoting his film Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Ranveer had expressed that he did not have a preference for the baby’s gender. He likened the situation to receiving prasad at a temple, saying, “When you go to the temple, they don’t ask you if you want laddu or sheera. Whatever you get, you accept with reverence. The same logic applies here.”
Deepika announced her pregnancy in march this year via Instagram, and she recently showcased her baby bump with a beautiful maternity shoot. Just before going into labor, she was seen visiting the siddhivinayak temple in mumbai with Ranveer, her parents, and her in-laws.
