Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2 Poised to Challenge Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan Record
Stree 2 is on the verge of making history in indian cinema. Starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, the film is now nearing the record set by Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster Jawan. Currently, Jawan holds the title for the highest-grossing hindi film with a box office collection of Rs 582 crore. Recently, stree 2 surpassed Pathaan to become the second-highest-grossing hindi film, and it is now just a few crores away from breaking Jawan's record.
Trade analyst Taran adarsh reported that stree 2 earned Rs 3.60 crore on its fourth monday, bringing its total to Rs 555 crore. He noted, “#Stree2 continues to maintain strong numbers on the fourth monday despite lower weekday ticket rates. With no major releases until #Devara on september 27, the film has a clear path. Additionally, #NationalCinemaDay on september 20 is expected to further boost its earnings.” adarsh provided the following figures: Week 4 - Friday: Rs 4.84 crore, Saturday: Rs 8.77 crore, Sunday: Rs 11.40 crore, Monday: Rs 3.60 crore, totaling Rs 555.04 crore in India.
Stree 2 has already outperformed Pathaan and Gadar 2, each with Rs 525 crore at the box office. Given the film's momentum, it seems poised to challenge Jawan's record.
