Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar Shared Their Couples Therapy Journey Post-Wedding
Farhan Akhtar and shibani dandekar, who married in february 2022 after three years of dating, recently opened up about their experience with couples therapy on Rhea Chakraborty’s podcast. The couple revealed that they began attending therapy shortly after their engagement, even scheduling an appointment just two days after their wedding.
Shibani explained, “We started couples therapy about six months before or after we got engaged. It wasn’t about one person convincing the other; it felt like a smart move for us.” She humorously recounted their post-wedding therapy session, saying, “We got married on a Monday, and our next appointment was on Wednesday. When we walked in, our therapist was surprised, asking, ‘Why are you guys here? You just got married 24 hours ago!’”
She likened therapy to working out, emphasizing its importance for maintaining a healthy relationship. “Sometimes we go for sessions every couple of weeks, and other times we arrive and realize we have nothing to discuss. Then there are days when we need longer than an hour because I have a lot to say about him!” Shibani noted that they sometimes hold off on discussions, especially if they’re in a disagreement, until their scheduled therapy sessions.
On the professional front, farhan akhtar is set to appear in 120 Bahadur, portraying PVC Major Shaitan Singh. He’s also directing Don 3, featuring ranveer singh and kiara advani, and plans to work on Jee Le Zara, which stars alia bhatt, priyanka Chopra, and katrina Kaif.
