The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has suspended the National Award in connection with a sexual harassment case. Deputy director Indrani Bose's letter said, 'Before the allegations of crime under the POCSO Act surdata-faced, Sheikh Jani Basha was given a letter to participate in the National Film Awards ceremony for the year 2022. Given the seriousness of the allegations and the matter reaching the court, the competent authority has decided to suspend Jani Master's National Film Award for Best Choreography for the year 2022 for the film Thiruchitramblam'.These allegations were made against Jani Master.
According to the complainant who accused him of sexual harassment, she has been working closely with Jani master for the last few months. During the outdoor shooting, the master assaulted her. After the woman's complaint, a zero FIR was registered and the matter was handed over to the Narsingi police. According to reports, Jani master was booked under several sections of the IPC including rape, criminal intimidation and intentionally causing injury to a person.
