Director gautam Tinnanuri wanted to shoot with elephants for his film. The film unit brought in two elephants. The shooting was also started in Kothamangalam. While shooting scenes with the elephants, both of them suddenly got angry and started fighting on the set. During this, the worried cast and crew tried to control the elephants, but their efforts went in vain. One elephant was injured, while the other fled into the forest.

The film unit immediately informed the forest officials about the incident. The officials reached the spot and finally found the elephant. The shooting of the filmwas temporarily haltedand the makers wanted the work to resume after things were fine. VD 12 is a spy thriller, about 70 percent of whose shooting has been completed.
