Whats’ Tahira Kashyap special message to women?
Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana's wife director Tahira Kashyap was recently seen walking the ramp for celebrity designer manish Malhotra at a fashion event. In this, the audience got to see her hairless and less hairy look. Tahira spoke openly to IANS about these three looks of hers. Tahira told IANS, "My hair journey has been incredibly transformative. It has taught me a lot about a certain kind of approach with beauty, taught me that nothing can be hidden.''
She said, "When I became bald, I adopted three different looks, my hair did not fall, but I decided to adopt the bald look, and I really liked my look. It really challenged conventional ideas of beauty, and, honestly, I felt beautiful even at that stage." She explained that her hair reflects her journey. She shared, "As my hair started growing back from short to long again, I loved that look that much. I have since cut it back, and I realized that my hair has been a mirror of my personal journey." Tahira was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018. In 2019, she underwent a mastectomy.
She also explained how walking the ramp for such causes raises awareness, she said, "I believe that when people like manish Malhotra get involved and then the PMO also gets associated with the project, everything naturally becomes bigger. The message that you give from this platform is extremely impactful.'' Whether it is a ramp walk or any platform, when the scale is bigger the message reaches the audience more strongly because it has a greater reach. With Manish's designs and this platform I hope the message goes beyond fashion and I believe it should.
