Maharashtra elections 2024: Electoral chessboard laid in the area of stars, turmoil in bjp, new move by Congress

After former police officer Sanjay Pandey contested from Versova assembly seat, political activity in this area of film stars is quite intense. In the last assembly elections, Bharti Lavekar, mla from Versova assembly constituency of bharatiya janata party (BJP), who was successful in defeating the congress candidate by just 5186 votes, is not in the first list of bjp, due to which there is a lot of disappointment among her supporters. The hustle and bustle in Bharti's office located in New MHADA here has also started to subside and the discussion is that this time the party is looking for a strong candidate in her place.

Just before the announcement of the election, Bharti did hold public programs with some film stars, but sources say that the internal report received from the hindi film industry, which mainly runs from the Versova assembly constituency, is not in favor of Bharti. Most of the work of the hindi film industry is these days conducted from the plot between Link Road and Veera Desai Road in Andheri West. Most of the people working in the offices of these film production companies live in the areas of Char Bungalow, Saat Bungalow, Aram Nagar, Yari Road, Lokhandwala, and Versova. The problem of roads persists in most of these places.

The local administration never took care of the deadly potholes on the roads leading to the offices of film companies like dharma Productions, balaji Telefilms, Zee Studios, golden ratio Films, and yash Raj Films, and even the local leaders never paid attention to this. Film director Ashok Pandit, who heads the Federation of Western india Cine Employees (FWICE), which is considered the parent organization of all the unions of the hindi film industry, himself was a contender for a ticket in the last lok sabha elections. All the leaders of the Federation believe that despite being a part of the government that was in power in the state, Bharti Lavekar never paid attention to improving the condition of the main roads in her area.

Sources reveal that some leaders of active unions of the hindi film industry have also sent a confidential report to bjp leaders in this regard and some harsh comments have also been made about the local MLA. Even in the areas under the influence of the mla, there are very few people speaking in favor of Bharti Lavekar while talking to the voters, even senior officials of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh working in Versova and Andheri have expressed their intention to bjp leaders regarding Bharti's candidature. workers close to Bharti have also been accused of extortion in the name of parking and this matter has also reached the local police.
