In a recent interview to the YouTube channel of Afterhours with All About Eve, kalki said, "After my divorce with Anurag, my two big films came Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Professionally things were going very well. But then the divorce happened." kalki further revealed that during this period, she had to struggle to find a place to live in Mumbai. She said, "No one was giving me a house on rent. I said, 'I am famous, you want to take selfies with me, but you don't want to give me a house.'"
