Despatch Trailer: The powerful trailer of Manoj Bajpayee's much-awaited film 'Dispatch' has been released, in which the actor will be seenin the role of an investigative journalist who will expose the biggest scam.
Streaming platform ZEE5 released the trailer of its upcoming investigative crime thriller 'Dispatch' on Tuesday, december 3. The film stars manoj bajpayee as Joy Bag, a crime journalist who gets entangled in a dangerous investigation. It stars Shahana Goswami, Archita Agarwal, Ritu Parana Sen, dilip Shankar, Riju Bajaj, and others in supporting roles.
In the trailer, crime journalist Joy Bag is on a mission to uncover the biggest news for his newspaper Dispatch. He embarks on a dangerous journey to uncover the truth behind the horrific Rs 8000 crore GDR 2G scam, unwittingly putting his own life in grave danger. With increasing threats from unknown enemies, he is forced to drop the case and the search for Joy's breaking story becomes a dangerous game for him.
Kanu Behl is the director of 'Dispatch'. Explaining the reason for making the film, Kanu said, 'I started working on Dispatch in 2016, and after extensive research, we discovered a treasure trove of untold, shocking stories related to the world of journalism, especially the dangerous mumbai underworld. Our goal was not just to make a thriller, but to expose the flawed, human side of investigative journalism and show the raw, harsh reality behind the headlines.'
Manoj Bajpayee said, 'I have prepared hard for this role and Kanu is a strict taskmaster who has pushed us beyond our comfort zone to give our best, so we hope the film will touch the hearts of the audience and inspire us to do even better.'
Produced by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Movies, 'Dispatch' debuted at the prestigious MAMI Film festival 2024, followed by a special screening at the 55th international Film festival of india (IFFI). The investigative thriller will start streaming on ZEE5 on december 13.
