Over the past few months, reports about govinda and Sunita’s strained relationship have surdata-faced. Speculation about a possible divorce even gained traction after Sunita’s lawyer confirmed that the couple had discussed separation. Sunita herself hinted in interviews that they were living apart, though she later clarified her statements.

Dressed elegantly, Sunita and Yashvardhan took their time interacting with the media on the red carpet. During their photo session, a paparazzo inquired, “Govinda sir kahan hai? (Where is Govinda?)” Taken aback, Sunita responded with an exaggerated “What!” before laughing off the moment. When another photographer suggested that govinda might be making a late entry, she quipped, “Last but not the least.”

As she walked into the venue with her son, another member of the media remarked that they missed Govinda. Sunita ;effreplied with a smile, “Humlog bhi kar rahe hai (We are also missing him).”

Govinda and Sunita's separation rumours

Govinda and Sunita tied the knot in march 1987, though they kept their marriage a secret until after the birth of their daughter, Tina, in 1988. The couple later welcomed their son, Yashvardhan, in 1997.   

A month ago, rumors swirled about their alleged separation, with reports suggesting growing differences between them. Addressing the speculation, Sunita set the record straight in a recent interview: “Alag-alag rehte hain matlab jab unhone politics join kiya tha tab meri beti jawaan ho rahi thi, toh saare karyakarta ghar par aate the. Ab jawaan beti hai, hum hain, hum shorts pehen ke ghar mein ghoomte hain, toh isliye humne saamne office le liya tha. Humko, mujhe aur govinda ko is duniya mein agar koi alag kar de, kisi ka mai ka laal toh saamne aa jaye (We live separately, which means when he joined politics, my daughter was growing up, and party workers would frequently visit our house. Now my daughter is an adult, and I move around in shorts at home, so we have an office space nearby.
