Manoj, who made his debut as a hero in the film industry through the film 'Taj Mahal', has acted in more than 10 films over the years, including Vasantham, Samudhiram, Sathuriyan, and Annakkodi. He had last played character roles in films like Eeswaran, Maanadu, and Viruman. However, his characters were not widely spoken about in any of the films. With this, he also took on the role of a director. He directed the film 'Margazhi Thingal', which was released in 2023. But that film also did not give much reach. Manoj, who wanted to establish himself as a director like his father Bharathi Raja, had stories ready for that. Actor soori himself recently told reporters that he was planning to direct his next film with Soori.
It was in this situation that Manoj bharathiraja tragically passed away due to a heart attack a few days ago. While many film celebrities paid tribute to his death, it was seen as controversial that Ajith, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, AR Rahman, and ilayaraja did not visit Manoj's death in person and pay their respects. Many were also surprised that they did not even offer condolences to director Imayam Bharathiraja. In it, he said: "It was only after Manoj was born that bharathiraja got fame and glory. His films started giving hits. Film opportunities also piled up. Why all the films produced by Manoj Creations were hits. It was in this situation that bharathiraja and Manoj went their separate ways, wanting privacy. While he was an actor, Manoj fell in love with and married actress Nandana, who acted with him in the film 'Chadooriyan'. After the marriage, Manoj's films ended in failure. Therefore, bharathiraja has been bearing all the expenses for Manoj after his marriage. Moreover, even when he directed the film Margazhi Tingal, there was a financial shortage. Even then, bharathiraja has been indirectly helping him. When the film was completed and ready for release, there was a financial problem. With no other option, Manoj's mother helped by giving her jewelry. The film was released by mortgaging the jewelry. In this way, not only bharathiraja but also Manoj's mother helped for her son. In this situation, there was a difference of opinion between Manoj and Bharathiraja. Therefore, many are saying that they both came separately. But there is not a single truth in it.

Manoj did not protect his body. He has had diabetes since his youth. Also, he has been eating a lot of junk food for the past few years. This is the main reason for his heart disease. He has also undergone heart surgery. It has been only 20 days since this surgery. Manoj had eaten in the afternoon on the day of his death and slept. He always slept after eating. But that day he did not wake up. It was then that it was revealed that he had died in his sleep. This was told to me by Manoj's relative. When Manoj wanted to become a director, bharathiraja refused. The reason for this was that he did so so that his son would not suffer the same hardships that he had. This was mainly an expression of his affection for Manoj, not because he wanted to ignore his wish.

Similarly, the main reason for Nandana and Manoj's marriage was Ilayaraja. Although bharathiraja had agreed to Manoj and Nandana's marriage for the sake of his son, Nandana's family did not agree at home. At that time, ilayaraja said that Manoj was a very good boy and had been helping by persuading her to agree. After 2 years of love life, the two got married. As a symbol of Manoj - Nandana's love, they have 2 daughters.
