Last week, on the complaint of a vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) worker, Mumbai's Amboli police registered a case against ajaz khan, 'House Arrest' producer Rajkumar Pandey and others of Ullu app. The police have already recorded the statement of the Ullu app manager. In the video clip of the web show that went viral on social media, Ajaz Khan was asked to perform intimate scenes with other contestants, including women. Despite the contestants being uncomfortable, they were forced.


Demand to ban the show

On May 1, maharashtra BJP MLC Chitra Wagh demanded an immediate ban on 'House Arrest' and alleged that its content is obscene and harmful to society, especially children. She also urged Union Information and Broadcasting minister Ashwini Vaishnav to take strict action against mobile applications promoting such content.

Ullu deleted episodes

When the controversy started after the video of the show went viral, users accused the show of crossing the limits of obscenity and insulting women. Seeing the controversy growing, Ullu App removed all the episodes of the show from its website and app. Along with this, the National Commission for women (NCW) also took a tough stand. On Friday, May 2, the National Commission for women issued summons to the show's host and actor Ajaz Khanas well as Ullu App CEO Vibhu Agarwal. NCW has ordered to appear in this matter on May 9.
