Norris is currently in India, working closely with yash to design complex stunt set pieces tailored specifically for the grandeur of this mythological retelling. Yash’s production banner, Monster Mind Creations, has partnered with Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios for the project. Malhotra, the global CEO of acclaimed VFX studio DNEG, brings significant experience to the table—DNEG has worked on seven Academy Award-winning films including ‘Dune: Part One’ and ‘Tenet’.
Yash, who rose to pan-India stardom through the ‘K.G.F. franchise’, whose second installment is among the top five highest-grossing indian films, now leads an ensemble cast that includes Ranbir Kapoor.
Ramayana has seen multiple screen adaptations over the years, from Ramanand Sagar’s iconic 1987 tv series to 1993’s ‘Ramayana: The legend of prince Rama’, and more recently, the 2023 film ‘Adipurush’.
