According to them, this incident happened during filming at Mani reservoir in the Masti Katte area of Shivmoga district.

According to the Tirthahalli police who reached the spot, the people on the boat escaped safely. The police are investigating the matter. Theatre artist Ramdas Pujari told PTI that making a film on the spirits of South kannada is always risky, as the spirits (Bhoot-Daiva) do not like the commercialization of any activity related to them. However, Pujari says that Rishab Shetty, who worships the spirits, has performed a puja for them and has been given permission to make the film.


A senior crew member, who spoke to PTI on the condition of anonymity, said that some of the crew members panicked when the boat capdata-sized, but since the boat was in shallow water, they all got out safely. The crew member said, "This shows that the spirits have blessed us in some way."  On june 14, Onmanorama reported that mimicry artist Kalabhavan Niju died of a heart attack. He was shooting for the film 'Kantara 2' in Bengaluru on Thursday. 43-year-old Kalabhavan suffered chest pain while shooting for the film 'Kantara 2', he was taken to the hospital but he could not be saved.

Let us tell you that the boat capdata-sized incident is another setback for 'Kantara 2'. Just last month, the production team lost three artists in several incidents. Now this incident has increased the challenges data-faced by the film crew.
