Abhishek Bachchan recently shared an anecdote related to the film Refugee and said that he and Kareena had to be locked in the projector room during the screening of the film.

It has been 25 years since the release of 'Refugee'.Abhishek Bachchan and kareena kapoor made their debut with this film.After this film, both of them have made their special identity in the industry.While remembering the early days of Refugee, abhishek recently shared a funny anecdote. He told how once he and Kareena had to be locked in the projector room while going to the theater.

In fact, during an interview with Screen, abhishek bachchan revealed that he and kareena kapoor were locked in the projector room during the screening of 'Refugee'. Explaining the reason for this, the actor said, "I have very fond memories! I was shooting in manali for Shararat (2002). It was a huge set with 15 actors, so I could not come to Mumbai before june 29, which was a day before the release of Refugee. In those days, there were not many promotional events, although I must accept that Bebo (Kareena Kapoor, co-star) and I were the first stars to start the tour of the city.

It rained heavily on the day of Refugee's premiere

We had also done an audio launch earlier, after which JP sir showed the film to the families for the first time on the 29th. I couldn't sleep that night as there was a lot of nervousness and excitement. It rained on the day of the premiere. Everyone got nervous as the premiere was at Liberty cinema (in South Mumbai), but I said it was auspicious as rain on such a big day is considered a blessing from God."

Abhishek further added, "We went in three cars as there were a lot of my family and close friends. I went to Liberty with my chachaji (Ajitabh Bachchan) and friend Sikander (Kher, actor). All the temples that I came across on the way from my house in Juhu to Liberty, I just stopped for a quick blessing. Before reaching, JP Sahab called me and said that he had not reached but asked me to take care of the premiere, I was nervous as it was my first time. It was great because the whole film industry was there. They were all there with big smiles. The first person I met was Mr Chopra.

Bachchan further said, "After the premiere, there was dinner and party, it was a long night. I came back home with Sikandar at seven in the morning. We stopped at Marine Drive and sat there and enjoyed the moment. When the film was about to be released. Unfortunately, I had to go back to manali the next day so I could not enjoy it much.But when I was getting ready, I got a call that the flight was canceled due to bad weather, so I had two more days in Mumbai.

 I got excited and called Bebo. She said, "Let's go to the theatre." So we went to Gaiety Galaxy and Chandan cinema, which is no longer there. It was so exciting! We had to lock ourselves in the projector room because the audience knew we were there. I still get goosebumps talking about it."

Actors should also change

Abhishek Bachchan further said, "I think my features have remained constant. I would like to believe that everything else has changed. An actor needs to improve not film after film, but year after year, learn something new and do it a little differently. This has been my discovery, to a certain extent. I hope I have managed to develop as an artist. Audiences, tastes, and films also change, so actors should also change. I have tried to do this, but it depends on the audience whether they accept it or not."
