Director unable to buy a house after Jigra flops ..?
Alia Bhatt's film Jigra proved to be a disaster at the box office. Due to the failure of this film, the condition of director Vasan bala has worsened. He is not even able to buy a house.
He further added, "That's how you appreciate success more when you don't have it. But not when you're trying to buy a house. Extra money doesn't hurt. I still live in a rented house."
He added, "Sometimes, ad guys can buy houses, but not directors. It's a legitimate profession. However, after Jigra, I went back to Mani Ratnam's sets. I went for two days, just to be around the film set, because I thought I would never go back."

Let us tell you that in a conversation with Cyrus Broacha, Vasan bala said, "Jigra was a big blow at the box office. It shakes you up, and I am still awake. But (new) scripts are also in the process of recovery." When asked if he was happy with the film during the shoot, Vasan said, "Yes, absolutely, I loved working with the crew, and it was great working with alia as well.
