Actor vivek Oberoi, who plays Vibhishan in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, has donated his entire remuneration from the film.

The donation will go towards supporting children battling cancer, a cause close to the actor’s heart.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, vivek shared that he informed producer Namit Malhotra about this decision early in the process.

He stated, “I told Namit that I don’t want a penny for this. I want to donate it to a cause I believe in — kids with cancer.”

Supporting a Visionary Project

Vivek expressed deep admiration for the film’s scale, vision, and ambition, calling it a project that will redefine indian cinema.

He said, “I want to support this because I love what they’re doing. This will take indian cinema to the global stage with a bang.”

The actor emphadata-sized that his decision stemmed from his belief in the film’s creative and cultural importance, not from financial considerations.

Vivek described Ramayana as “India’s answer to hollywood epics”, praising its grandeur and global potential.

He lauded producer Namit Malhotra and director Nitesh Tiwari for their vision of bringing Bhartiya mythology to life with world-class production values.

The film is in collaboration with an Oscar-winning VFX company, known for securing seven to eight Academy Awards, ensuring unmatched technical excellence.

Vivek mentioned he has a few days of shoot left, expressing pride in contributing to a project that celebrates India’s cultural roots.
