Rahul gandhi recently commented on the reception of The kerala Story 2, saying that the film has not drawn significant public attention.

The film, directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh and produced by vipul Amrutlal Shah, has generated political debate since its release earlier this year.

While discussions around the movie had slowed down, Gandhi’s remarks brought it back into the spotlight across political and social media conversations.

Rahul gandhi Questions Film’s Popularity

Responding to the ongoing conversation, Rahul gandhi suggested that the film has not attracted widespread viewership.

A message shared from the official indian national congress account on X stated that many people understand Kerala’s traditions and culture, which may explain the film’s limited appeal.

The note argued that storytelling in movies, television, and media can sometimes be used to shape narratives about communities.

According to the statement, such platforms may be used to create divisions or influence how groups are perceived in society.

Gandhi also mentioned that individuals expressing certain viewpoints often data-face criticism or restrictions when trying to speak publicly.

The message concluded by suggesting that some narratives gain wider acceptance and circulation, while others encounter resistance.

Surbhi Tiwari Comes Out in Support

Surbhi Tiwari, wife of Manoj Tiwari, defended the film during an interaction with ANI.

She encouraged viewers to watch the film themselves before forming opinions about its message.

Tiwari said audiences should visit theatres, review documents and cases, and follow news coverage to understand whether the film reflects reality or is merely propaganda.

She described the film as a “mirror to society,” suggesting it highlights issues that deserve public reflection.

According to her, discussions around the film should focus on understanding its themes rather than dismissing it without viewing it.

About The kerala Story 2

The kerala Story, directed by Sudipto Sen, inspired the sequel.

The new film stars Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia, and aishwarya Ojha.

The story follows three women whose lives change dramatically after marrying outside their religion.

Ahead of its release, a petition was filed in the kerala High court seeking to stop the film’s theatrical launch.

However, the court later lifted the interim stay order, allowing the movie to be screened in theatres.

Despite mixed reactions and political debate, the film continues to spark discussions among audiences and commentators.
