Story:
After several disastrous movies, ravi teja returns on-screen teaming with director VI anand for a unique concept action mass entertainer Disco Raja. With three hot heroines and an uber-cool ravi teja on screen, here's team ap Herald's exclusive first on net disco raja review.
The film begins in Ladakh with the discovery of a body and it is ravi teja and now scientists tanya hope and vennela kishore are working on reviving a dead person. ravi teja wakes up and tries to escape and in the past, he's shown as a thief disco raja in love with Nabha Natesh. He's having a clash with evil bobby simha and what lead to the initial dead state of ravi teja and whether he was able to exact revenge is what disco raja is all about.
Performances:
Ravi teja is back to his usual best where he easily scores with his body language and oneliners. However, this time he has toiled a bit more to satisfy his fans. His character has multiple dimensions. The movie is a science fiction genre and has lots of twists to it. The climax is good. nabha natesh is pretty. tanya hope fills the space as a scientist. tamil Villain bobby simhaa is menacing as the evil villain.
Music and technical Departments:
All songs from S S Thaman are superb with Nuvvu Emannavo and Freakout being top picks and his background score is also top class. Cinematography by karthik Ghattamaneni is classy and presents disco raja in an aesthetically appealing manner. Editing by shravan is decent.
Analysis:
Director VI anand is back after Oka kshanam with yet another interesting concept and this time around he has utilized mass Maharaja ravi Teja's mass appeal, comic abilities and crowd-pulling factors in his screenplay perfectly. Right from the start, the movie entertains and there are lots of twists and turns to entertain and engage the audience. The vintage ravi teja is almost back completely with this one as his effortlessly swag filled performance as disco raja is a royal treat for those who were missing him. Technically the movie is rich and Thaman is again an asset for the movie. All said, disco raja, is a much-needed comeback for ravi Teja.
