"Did Some Producers called me for Sexual Favours to give a Chance ??" - Rakul Preet opens out

SIBY JEYYA

Rakul Preet Singh has recently opened up on the casting couch in the industry. The slender waist babe, who rose to fame with her Superhit films in Tollywood, is currently concentrating on Tamil movies. The actress, who had been to Bengaluru for an event, spoke on casting couch during the media interaction.

Rakul Preet said, "I have none become a Telugu girl. Though am in Mumbai, I begin to speak only in Telugu. Even my friends from Hyderabad are surprised with my usage of Telugu too. I've been a naturally hardworking person. I always try to learn the language in which I work, and that was how I learned Telugu as well. I am a south Indian actress, and it's hurting when people brand me as a north Indian girl.

I am a Telugu Ammayi and I speak in Telugu only, to anyone who interacts with me in Telugu. People easily tend to forget the abuses and harassment issues in the country. The reason why people speak of casting couch and makers calling out actresses for sexual favors in return for movie offers is just that it is a spicy news for them.

This is a male-dominated world, filled with opportunists. I've so far acted in more than 20 movies. So far, none have misbehaved with me nor did I data-face casting couch issues in all the industries. One can excel in this industry only with talent. Though I've heard a lot of bad things on the casting couch, I've so far seen only good people, and I've been a lucky girl.
