After the success of Theeran Adhigaram Ondru and Kadaikutty Singam Karthi has struck screens with Dev directed by Debutant Rajath Ravishankar and the movie costarring Rakul Preet Singh has released today amidst huge expectations. Here's team AP Herald's exclusive first on net Dev first report.

Dev is an adventure lover and crazy in love guy who embarks on a new adventure with his friends after trying to break away from routine life and then data-faces troubles for his love Meghna, and as he tries to protect her putting his life into danger, what happens to Dev ultimately in his life adventure is what Dev is all about.

Karthi is energy personified and delivers impressive performance  Rakul Preet Singh is adequate. Harris Jayaraj music is classy and visuals are stunning. First-half moves at a decent pace, but the second half drags with cliches and overdose of fights making Dev an average outing. All said, Dev isn't a perfect movie but entertains in parts thanks to Karthi and first half and ends as an average entertainer.
