Versatile hero Suriya had last made an on-screen appearance with his 2018 Pongal release Thaanaa Serndha koottam which was a disaster despite opening well and the Sodakku song becoming a hit and despite being the remake of the hit Bollywood movie Special Chabbis starring Akshay Kumar.
Now, the hero had last week wrapped the shoot of his next release the political thriller NGK directed by Selvaraghavan, and this movie which also stars pimple beauty Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh will be releasing on April 14 or anywhere close to Tamil New year. Rakul came to shooting at a stretch and finished off everything.
On the other hand, Suriya immediately moved on to his 37th movie Kaappaan directed by his Maattraan and Ayan director KV Anand, and this movie has only 30 % shooting left, and it is expected that the movie will be wrapped by February end. The shooting is still pending due to Sayyesha who is currently busy with her other personal schedule. Aiming a Diwali release, Kaappaan also stars Mohanlal, Sayyeshaa, Arya, Samuthirakani and Boman Irani.
