Mohanbabu to act along with Aishwarya Rai
Ace director Maniratnam had scored a disastrous outing with his milestone silver jubilee flick Kaatru Veliyidai way back in 2017 and had taken his own sweet time to resurrect his career with his latest venture Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.
The mega multistarrer featuring Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi, Simbu, Arvind Swamy, and Arun Vijay was a 90 crores grosser blockbuster that had brought back the director into the game and now he's all set to revive Ponniyin Selvan.
While already Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Chiyaan Vikram, Amitabh Bachchan, and Aishwarya Rai have been planned to be cast in pivotal roles, now Maniratnam has approached the versatile Tollywood actor Mohanbabu for a crucial role.
