Sources have stated that Khadar, 62 was among 300 passengers who has escaped death by a whisker when his flight crash-landed at Dubai Airport last week and it has turned out to be arguably the most shocking, pleasantly that is, call he ever received where someone called from Dubai to inform that he has won $ 1 million (around Rs 6.5 crore) in a Dubai duty-free raffle.
Basher has told that for the lucky escape he has been praying to Almighty all these days and was thanking God for his great escape and after the precious first gift of life presently he has got another one. The latest gift has emboldened him to do more good things for the rest of his life.
It is stated that Khadar had a habit of buying lottery tickets on journeys back home, had purchased one at the Dubai airport while returning to Kerala on Eid last month. It is added that Khadar is working in the Middle East since 1978 and is employed as a fleet manager with a car dealer in Dubai.
Khaddar has also told that one of his sons suffered a paralytic attack after a fall 16 years ago and his spouse used to scold him for spending huge amount for raffles, where he has always consoled her, one day we will hit the jack pot and he thinks this is his 17th lottery or so.
