Judge ordered Sisodia to be remanded until march 4...

Delhi's Rouse Avenue court on monday reserved the first decision on the remand of delhi Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia. Later accepted the demand of 5 days remand of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The court has handed over Sisodia on cbi remand till march 4. The cbi had arrested Sisodia on sunday in the delhi Excise Policy Case. On monday, he was produced in the court in this matter. The court had reserved the decision after hearing the arguments of both the parties on the demand for remand. Earlier, the cbi had interrogated Sisodia after arresting him on Sunday. According to sources, in this inquiry, the cbi has asked him 15 questions related to the liquor policy.

Both sides argued before the court

The cbi lawyer demanded remand from the court. He told the need to interrogate the delhi Deputy cm by keeping him in custody for effective investigation in this matter. The cbi lawyer said that the conspiracy in this case was prepared in a very planned and secretive manner. On the other hand, senior advocate Dayan Krishnan, appearing for Sisodia, opposed the demand for remand. He said, if someone is not ready to speak something knowingly then it cannot be the basis for his arrest. He said on behalf of Sisodia, if I change a phone, what will I do with it? I am a minister, I cannot send my phone to a second-hand shop, it contains very important data.

The lawyer said, cbi has placed the data in front of me, but I have not confessed to the crime. The remand application says that I gave evasive answers. This cannot be the basis of remand. The lawyer said on behalf of Sisodia, cbi searched my house on august 19, 2022. I handed over my phone. He called me and asked me to join the investigation and I reached. I have fully cooperated.
