The ruling TRS in Telangana which has been eliminating all the
Opposition parties in region much before 2019 general elections, is all
set to unleash its 'operation akarsh' weapon this time on city BJP MLAs.
While
many Opposition MLAs from the Congress, TDP and YSRCP have already
joined TRS, there has been no high profile MLA from BJP who had defected
to the TRS so far. Now the TRS party leadership is planning to fill
this gap by roping in three of Hyderabad’s BJP MLAs into TRS.
TRS
party leaders are reportedly in touch with BJP’s Uppal MLA NVSS
Prabhakar, Khairatabad MLA Chintala Ramachandra Reddy as well as BJP’s
rebel Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh. Raja Singh already was in revolt against BJP before GHMC elections.
The
other two BJP MLAs seem to be worried about their political future as
they couldn’t secure a win even in one of the corporate divisions during
the recent GHMC elections in respective constituencies with all
divisions being swept by the TRS.
