1.  The Gough road test: Will local military authority keep it open or shut? :  As the deadline to keepGough Road open for civilian traffic comes to an end on May 31, denizens are worried with no word from the Ministry of Defence (MoD) on a possible extension.
2.  Criminal cases filed against Tehsildar for cheating :  Tainted Kukatpally sub-registrar Rachakonda Srinivas Rao, who allegedly facilitated fraudulent transfer of 693 acres of government land to private real estate companies, was involved in similar offences in the past. Incidentally, two criminal cases are pending against him at the Kukatpally police stationfor cheating.
3.  12,000 appointments made over past 3 years in Telangana :  Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday achieved the distinction of having doled out appointments to 12,000 people during the last three years in Telangana.
4.  Cannot hinge on to a case by raising technical issues: High court :  Justice Anis of the Hyderabad High Court has dismissed a second appeal filed by a resident of Ahapura in Hyderabad who was seeking to secure a victory in a property dispute by raising a technical issue pertaining to the alleged payment of insufficient court fee.
5.    Hyderabad may sing rain tune sooner than expected :  
   Here's finally some good news for Hyderabadis. Respite from the sweltering heat may be just around the corner with the much-awaited southwest monsoon expected to hit Telangana earlier than predicted this year, say officials of the Indian Meteorological Department's (IMD's) Hyderabad centre.
6.  Tiff over TV remote: School girl ends life :  Following a tiff with her brother over the TV remote, a 13 year old girl hung herself at their house in Nizampet on Sundaynight.
7.  Hyderabad engineer's fatal fall from roof for love :  While attempting to threaten a woman to fall in love with him, a 27-year-old engineer had a fatal fall from the terrace of a five storied apartment in Miyapur on Monday evening.
8.  Felicitating the Dada Saheb Phalke awardee :  It takes years of dedication and hard work to win Dada Saheb Phalke award. So, when renowned filmmaker Kasinadhuni Viswanath became the 48th recipient of the award, for his outstanding contribution to the South Indian film industry, Hyderabadis organised a ceremony to felicitate the veteran on Sunday. 
9.  KCR names chairpersons of 8 more corporations :  Continuing the spree of making political appointments to various corporations and other agencies, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday named chairpersons of eight more corporations.
10.  Loopholes make it easy to register govt. lands :  The existing loopholes in the system make it easy for government lands to be registered and to even get away with it if caught, according to revenue officials and activists fighting encroachments.

2.  TTD postpones VIP darshan indefinitely :  The TTD management on Monday resolved not to entertain any VIP recommendation letters for some more days till there is a “dip” in the teeming crowds. However, the VIPs who come under the protocol category will be given the importance they deserve.
3.  RTC signs MoU with TSRTC on running of buses :  The APSRTC and the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on operating inter-State buses.
4.  CPI members burn CM’s effigy :  Communist Party of India activists burnt an effigy of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu before the Kadapa Collectorate on Monday and protested by carrying brooms resenting withdrawal of sugar and kerosene supply through ration shops from June.
5.  Avoid short-cuts to safety :  South Central Railway General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav on Monday conducted a safety review at Rail Nilayam in Secunderabad with Heads of Departments and Divisional Railway Managers of all six divisions through video conference.
6.  Lokesh dares Jagan to debate on corruption :  From the platform of the Mahanadu, Minister for Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and IT Nara Lokesh has challenged Leader of the Opposition Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for a debate on corruption charges against them.
7.  CM sanctions Rs. 2,000 cr. for Sujala Sravanti :  Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday announced sanction of Rs. 2,000 crore for the first phase of the Babu Jagjeevan Ram Uttarandhra Sujala Sravanti.
8.  Naidu to speak to PM on Bharat Ratna to NTR :  Chief Minister and TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday said he would speak to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on their request to confer Bharat Ratna on legendary actor and party founder N.T. Rama Rao.
9.  Navy COP on a 3-day visit to Eastern Naval Command :  Vice Admiral A.K. Chawla, Chief of Personnel (COP) Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy) arrived here on a three-day visit to the Eastern Naval Command. He met Vice Admiral HCS Bisht, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Naval Command and held discussions on Monday. Later, COP addressed officers and sailors of ENC and also discussed HR related issues with the staff.
10.  CM hints at sari, dhoti in gift hamper :  Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday hinted at including sari and dhoti in the Chandranna Kanuka being given on festivals to white ration card holders.
