Chandrababu Behind EVMs Malfunctioning in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Gopal Krishna Dwivedi has sent proposals to the Chief Election Commission (CEC) seeking repoll in five polling stations in three districts of the State. They included two each in Guntur and Nellore districts and another in Prakasam district. 


The Central Election Commission is yet to take a decision. Election Commission also has taken a serious view of the large scale EVMs Malfunctioning on the Polling Day. There are allegations that some Returning Officers acted at the behest of Chandrababu Naidu to decrease the Polling Percentage. 


After the investigation, charges were framed on Returning Officers of Nuziveedu, Sullurpeta, Kovvuru, and AROs are axed. Elections for all the 175 Assembly and 25 Lok Sabha constituencies across Andhra Pradesh were conducted in a single phase on April 11th. The results will be out on May 23rd which means more than a month away.
