PM Modi says he is available 24 7 to all Chief Ministers

PM modi had a meeting with Chief Ministers on coronavirus response and lockdown extension. He had the meeting via Video conferencing wearing a mask. During this meeting, the Ministry of home Affairs (MHA) has issued the 5th exemption to the operations of Fishing (Marine) and Aquaculture industry from the coronavirus lockdown.

 

Most of the Chief Ministers have requested for lockdown extension as the number of cases has crossed more than 7000+ in the Nation. This meeting is also discussing various possibilities of relaxing a few norms and continuing the lockdown. The cabinet had expressed concerns over the lifting of lockdown as the number of cases crossed 1,500 infections in maharashtra alone.

 

delhi cm arvind kejriwal also requested PM modi to continue the lockdown without any relaxation till april 30th. tamil Nadu cm Edapaddi Palaniswamy is yet to take a stand as he is discussing with the Medical team regarding the lockdown extension. PM modi is yet to take the final call and he is expected to speak to indian citizens later today evening. It is expected that the lockdown will be extended until april 30th as per most of the requests.
