Manish Sisodia announced that No Delhi school will be allowed to collect only tuition fee for One month

Reportedly amid this chaos of Covid-19 pandemic, the government had directed all school to not pressurize parents or students to submit fees during the lockdown. But many schools all over the country urged the government to allow them to collect a minimum amount so that the salaries of the staff can be paid. On april 17, 2020, delhi education minister, manish Sisodia announced through a video conference that no delhi school can demand more than one month’s tuition fee from the parents and students. delhi education minister also added, "Schools irrespective of private or government, irrespective of whether they are on government land or not, will not hike fee without government's permission."

 

No school will be allowed to ask for 3 months fees, they will be allowed to ask for 1 month’s tuition fee. Every student should be included in the online class system. If any parents fail to submit the fee their students should not be excluded from the e-learning systems. Meanwhile AICTE has issued guidelines warning institutes against demanding fees from the students and parents during the period of lockdown. Moreover, the organisation has instructed all educational institutes to put an official declaration saying that the fees are optional during the lockdown.

 

Salary to be given to teachers and non-teaching staff during lockdown. Amid the ongoing news going viral about the termination of staff, AICTE has strictly asked educational institutes to release salaries and take back termination letters of their employees' faculty members immediately and withdraw termination of employees during the lockdown period, if any.
