Tamil Nadu
government has taken the decision to cancel the Std XII board exams after a high-level meeting took place yesterday with several high officials and
education board authorities.
tamil Nadu
chief minister MK
stalin announced the decision yesterday night after chairing a high-level committee meeting and
education Minister Anbil Mahesh announced the final decision.
Earlier, MNM
party leader
kamal haasan and VCK
party leader Thirumavalavan demanded the exams should take place as it would affect the student's future. But MK
stalin revealed that it is impossible to conduct board exams at this juncture as the
government needs to consider several factors about the safety of
students, their travel, paper valuation, and so on.
Even though the second wave of COVID is declining, there are still few districts with higher positive cases and the
tamil Nadu
government has imposed strict
lockdown measures in those 11 districts. We already provided a detailed report on those 11 districts earlier. This decision is welcomed by
students and
parents in the state. It should be noted that already CBSE has canceled its board exams too.
