Blinken says US won't forget India's aid
According to Secretary of State Blinken, there is no military solution to the Afghan problem. "A peaceful conclusion is required," he adds, adding that the Taliban and the Afghan government must come to the table. He goes on to say that any future Afghan administration must be inclusive and completely reflective of the Afghan people. The Taliban have made fast gains in afghanistan since US forces began withdrawing from the war-torn country. He claims that the US is still working on diplomacy to bring parties to the negotiating table in order to end the crisis in Afghanistan.
The high-level meeting between india and the united states comes at a critical time, he added, when significant global and regional problems must be successfully handled. The two sides also discussed the travel problems posed by Covid-19, with the minister praising the united states for being "quite open" on student travel issues.
