New Delhi:

For the second time this week, chhattisgarh Chief minister bhupesh baghel is likely to meet rahul Gandhi. He has also planned to bring congress MLA's to delhi to demonstrate their strength in an escalating state governance situation. Bhupesh Baghel's job is on the verge of endanger, as TS Singh Deo, demands a rotational Chief Ministership.

It was with this promise that in 2018 Mr Singsh Deo seemed to accept standing down and taking office when Mr Baghel assumed the position of Chhattisgarh's Chief Minister. The government of Mr Baghel finished its two and a half-year term of office in June. Mr Singh Deo asked Mr Baghel to fulfil its promise, which the party never formally recognised.

Mr Baghel and Mr Singh Deo both met in delhi on tuesday, with rahul Gandhi. Mr Baghel, who had been told that he would abide by the decision of the party, was notified to reporters. But after he was asked to stay for a while, he returned in a defiant way to chhattisgarh capital Raipur. In Raipur, he told journalists: "If sonia (Gandhi) and rahul Ji order me, I'm going to step down. Those who talk about a 2.5-year plan try to achieve political instability but never succeed."

Since that meeting, Mr Singh Deo has not been coming back to Chhattisgarh. Sources say that he is not going to do this unless congress decides. Reporters asked him about his claim for Chief Minister: "We agreed to the high command decision regarding leadership." The Congressman in charge, chhattisgarh PL Punia, claimed that the talks on tuesday focused mainly on matters of the state, not any crisis in leadership. "Whatever decision the high command takes bhupesh baghel has agreed. He said that, as long as they wished he would be Chief Secretary," Mr Punia said.

Sources in the vicinity of Mr Singh Deo said that he has reached no point of return and will find nothing short of the leading position. "He will not join the BJP," but they say he can no longer work under Mr Baghel. The crisis in chhattisgarh has been an enormous challenge for congress, especially the Gandhis, in addition to the unrelenting punjab feud.

Rahul Gandhi had posted a photo with his leaders, in a unity show, with the message, "If you're playing a solo play you'll always lose out on the team, no matter how brilliant your mind or strategy is. Every state ruled by congress has fought with tussles of power.
