PMK Founder Ramadoss has issued a statement demanding tamil Nadu government to ban the Online Rummy Game and regarding this, his press statement read, "The backstory of a security officer who attempted suicide by killing himself on the premises of the chepauk Guest house in chennai has been revealed. He allegedly lost Seven lakhs in internet gambling, which has recently resurdata-faced in tamil Nadu. Veluchamy, a 24-year-old armed policeman from the Dharmapuri area, attempted suicide by shooting himself while on security duty at the chepauk Guest house in chennai on april 4th. Luckily, the bullet missed his brain, and he is being treated at Chennai's government General Hospital.

According to a police inquiry into the circumstances surrounding his suicide attempt, he took a loan of Rs.7 lakhs and lost it in online gambling, and he attempted suicide because he couldn't endure it. That tragedy occurred when the entire state of tamil Nadu believed that no disaster should occur. This is the second sad incidence since the tamil Nadu high court determined that the state's internet gambling ban is unconstitutional. Pachaiyappan, a young father from Cherthanur village in Villupuram district, committed suicide on the 20th of last month, leaving his spouse and kids behind after losing millions of rupees in online gaming.

Veluchamy, a police officer, has now escaped a violent suicide attempt. The tamil Nadu government has a responsibility to ensure that such atrocities and tragedies do not occur again. The only option is to alter the law to prohibit sports betting.
