According to a recent announcement from the Jalan Kalrock Consortium, Jet Airways will come to runways the year after, with internal air operations slated to start during the first part of 2022. The company will restart operations after nearly four years, with an aircraft from New delhi to mumbai as the first leg. Jet Airways is actively working with regulators and airport organizers to confirm slot assignments and other details. To restart operations in the country, the company will charter a fleet of narrow-body airplanes.

“The procedure of resurrecting the suspended airline is on progress with the existing air Operators Certificate (AOC) now under progress for certification,” the consortium stated in a statement released on Monday. On slot distribution, required transportation facilities, and night parking, the Collaboration is working very closely with the appropriate authorities and airfield organizers." Jet Airways would begin short international flight services in the second half of 2022, perhaps in the 3rd or 4th quarter, according to murari Lal Jalan, chairman of the London-based Jalan Kalrock Partnership.

"Our objective is to have 50+ airplanes in three years and 100+ in five years, which fits nicely with the Company's current short - range and long commercial plans," he said. Jet Airways, one of India's most prestigious airlines, was forced to shut down in april 2019 owing to financial difficulties. After receiving final approval from the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) early on in the year, the plane's restoration plan was completed.
