Protesters of NEET in TN went missing?
The AIADMK government was questioned to NEET in principle and had even approved decisions in the Assembly, the civil society protests were not allowed during their rule. The former AIADMK government, led by EPS had filed 446 accusations against common people and persons who contributed the presence in the agitations at multiple spots and times, to put an endpoint to it.
In response to a question on the Governor's Address, the current cm announced that lawsuits filed against those who held democratic protest rallies during the AIADMK government would be overturned and it was expected to happen.
Recently, M K Stalin, the chief minister of tamil Nadu ordered the dismissal of 868 criminal cases filed during the AIADMK administration against protestors who took part in democratically organized protest rallies against the encumbrance of NEET in TN by the Union government and those obliging the cessation of liquor stores.
Recently in tamil Nadu, onslaughts against NEET and TASMAC activists have been dropped low. During the AIADMK's rule, protest rallies against proposed methane wrenching in the Cauvery delta regions, the Koodankulam Nuclear Power Project, the establishment of the India-based Neutrino Observatory (INO) in Theni, and the plan to build an eight-lane green express highway equating salem and chennai attracted so many protest cases.
