AIADMK says minister Thuraimurugan is hiding the kerala government's arbitrary decision on Mullaiperiyaru issue as some shocking revelations are made by former minister R.P. Udayakumar and he said, "The water level in the Mullaiperiyaru dam is 152 feet. The supreme court ruled that jayalalithaa might be detained at a height of 142 feet. Rains have caused the dam water level to rise to 138.85 feet.

Kerala's Irrigation minister pays a visit to the dam and declares that the water level has reached 142 feet. It features 6 shutters that can open up to 3000 cubic feet of space. In addition, residents of Vandiperiyaru, Manjumalai, Chappathu, and Upputhurai in kerala have been sent warnings. Irrigation minister Duraimurugan of tamil Nadu, on the other hand, claims that tamil Nadu was the one who opened the Periyar Dam as if to cover the whole pumpkin in words.

Authorities in kerala have established a camp in the Mullai Periyar area. The kerala government has remained defiant and propagated misinformation despite the supreme Court's decision to keep the dam at 142 feet. Farmers' rights in five districts of tamil Nadu are in jeopardy since the kerala government has arbitrarily opened water. The state bears the burden of responding to the open water issue. Former chief minister O.K. Panneer Selvam stated that the truth must be presented to the people and farmers."
