Since 1980, all backward class reservations in tamil Nadu have been based on the Ambasankar Commission report. The chennai High court decision, on the other hand, tries to overturn it. This is the overall threat to social justice. The Vanniyar were the first to file a lawsuit against the reservation, and they were unaffected by it. The formation of a reservation portion for the next most backward class has been challenged by opponents of the Vanniyar reservation. Those who are presently ecstatic with the abolition of the Vanniyar reservation are blind to the social injustice that would soon befall them. We must also achieve for them.
Many people currently believe that the Vanni should not be awarded distinct reservation in tamil Nadu's most backward classes. We, on the other hand, are the ones who established the reserve portion for tamil Nadu's most backward classes. We lost a lot for that, including 21 lives; the sacrifices we've made are numerous. In South India, there are eight sections for backward classes in Kerala, six sections in Karnataka, and five sections in Andhra Pradesh. However, for 42 years following independence in tamil Nadu, the backward class was the only sect. No organisation has attempted to give packaged reservations for the backward classes.
We are the ones who battled for and won the new reservation segment for tamil Nadu's poorest people. We're the ones who gave Islamists and arundhati access to the internal reservation. We were the ones that acquired a 10.50 percent Vanni reservation. In tamil Nadu, we are the pioneers of social justice. There is no other option. We must now prepare for the next legal and political battle to safeguard social fairness. That is something that all proletarians must be prepared for. Not only has the Vanni reserve been dropped into the pit dug by anti-social justice forces, but all reservations are on the verge of collapsing.
