Puducherry police officers cleaned in the absence of Govt Officials
High government officials, including the ADGP, went out to the field and started the survey in places where significant rains had not yet been personally inspected by top government officials, including the IAS. In addition to the disaster rescue squad, IRPN police are assisting in the rescue operation. Following the ongoing heavy rains in Pondicherry, critical top authorities, including the IAS, did not conduct any direct inspections or field operations.

Many senior police officers, led by ADGP Ananthamohan, went to flooded regions such as Kurusukuppam, Vambakirappalayam, and Rainbow Nagar.
According to ADGP Ananthamohan, "In Pondicherry, the National Disaster Rescue Team has arrived. In high-risk locations, we've ordered rescue operations. people in low-lying regions have been evacuated, and waterlogged areas have been cleared. The excess torrential rains in unstoppable and the waters are flooding across every nook and corner and we are trying our best to clear the mess around."
