In connection with an
election fight between the AIADMK and the
bjp in
coimbatore, a
court yesterday granted the release of seven people, including
bjp national women's wing chief Vanathi Srinivasan. In the 2016
assembly elections in
tamil Nadu, the BJP's Vanathi Srinivasan and the AIADMK's Amman
arjun ran in the
coimbatore South constituency. When Vanathi Srinivasan went to a
temple near Periyakadai Veedi the day after the
election campaign finished, a fight between the two parties erupted.
Former AIADMK councilor Adinarayanan filed a complaint with the Periyakadai Veedi
police station accusing seven people, including Vanathi Srinivasan, of attacking him. A case has been filed, and
police are investigating. The case, which is being heard in the 5th
criminal Arbitration
court in
coimbatore, was adjudicated Wednesday. Vanathi Srinivasan,
kanmani Babu, Mohana, Gunasekaran, Nagaraj, Shanmugasundar, and Babu were ordered released by Judge Abdul Raguman.
