Nathuram Godse: Unsung hero!?

'Nathuram Godse always fought for Akhand Bharat, he was proud of Hindutva'.

On this day in 1948, Nathuram Godse assassinated mahatma Gandhi; since then, he has been portrayed as a villain. Nathuram Godse was once respected by Hindu political parties, but that is no longer the case. Nathuram Godse is being pelted with mud.

Nathuram Godse was always a supporter for Akhand Bharat. Is it anti-national to have such feelings? He was a genuine patriot.

Following his death sentence on november 8, 1949, Godse made it very clear in his death statement that he was not very happy with Gandhi's support and inclination for the Muslim community and he also blamed gandhiji who was responsible for the partition of india and the formation of New Pakistan.

In terms of killing gandhi, Godse stated that he believed indian politics would be more practical, capable of retaliation, and powerful with armed forces in the absence of Gandhi.

Without a doubt, his own future would be ruined, but the nation would be saved from Pakistan's inroads. On november 15, 1949, Godse was hanged.

Godse's controversial life:

In 2010, the indian national congress (INC) published a commemorative volume titled congress and the Making of the indian Nation to mark the 125th anniversary of the party's formation, in which Godse's association with the RSS and Hindu Mahasabha was highlighted in connection with Gandhi's murder.
