R K Roja, a fiery
ysr congress party leader and
nagari MLA who professes to be close to Y S
jagan Mohan
reddy, the party's chairman and
chief minister, appears to be upset with the party's groupism in her seat. What bothers her the most is Jagan's encouragement of
party leaders who openly oppose her leadership in her own region,
nagari, and who have formed a parallel faction within the organization.
Jagan nominated K Santhi Kumari,
spouse of former
nagari municipality chairman K G Kumar, as chairwoman of Eediga Community Welfare Corporation a few months earlier. Kumar has been a vehement opponent of Roja's in the region. Even before Roja could forget about the disrespect, the
chief minister recently selected Reddivari Chakrapani
reddy of
nagari as the president of the
srisailam temple trust board, a coveted position.
It was like pouring
salt in Roja's injuries, as Chakrapani
reddy had been a formidable foe in Nagari. Chakrapani
reddy ran candidates from his own
party in the recent mandal parishad contests in Nindra mandal to beat Roja's supporters. Roja seemed to be unable to comprehend the
idea that
jagan has been nominating her party's bitter opponents for positions while disregarding her own supporters. She is claimed to
believe that doing so will allow her adversaries to acquire an advantage over her in Nagari.
