Telangana: Civil war is making the congress party lose more and more clout. It was during this sequence that the senior congress leaders left for Delhi. State congress chief Rewanth in particular is likely to complain about the trend.

Senior leaders arrived in delhi on tuesday as the growing infighting within the telangana congress reached the party's central leadership. As the party high command took a series of meetings of dissident leaders dissatisfied with the conduct of state congress president revanth reddy, three senior leaders arrived in the national capital on the orders of central leaders.

Congress Legislature party (CLP) leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, legislator D Sridharbabu, in-charge of telangana affairs, mp Manikkam Tagore and other leaders are likely to meet. Senior congress leader and former rajya sabha member v Hanumantha Rao also left for delhi to make an appointment with party chief sonia Gandhi.

 According to party sources, telangana Pradesh congress Committee (TPCC) chief revanth reddy will hand over his letter stating the controversial decisions taken unilaterally. The rush came to delhi in the wake of news that the state leadership was planning to take disciplinary action against Finance minister Harish Rao for secretly meeting him a few days ago.

Among the disgruntled leaders who have held a series of meetings over the past few days are Vikramarka, sridhar Babu and Hanumantha Rao. Calling himself a congress loyalist, Rewant reddy lashed out at the business style. The meetings were attended by tpcc Working President T. Jayaprakash reddy (Jagga Reddy), former minister Marri Shashidhar reddy and others. jagga reddy is openly criticizing Rewanth Reddy. 

Recently, despite announcing that he was leaving the party, some senior leaders withdrew it due to interference. jagga reddy was angry that the tpcc chief had not contacted him even before holding protests in his assembly constituency of Sangareddy. 

This came a day after jagga reddy publicly challenged Rewanth reddy to field a candidate from sangareddy constituency and secure his victory. The mla will resign and run as an independent candidate. Jaggareddy said Rewanth should stand for the candidate of his choice and secure his victory.

Meanwhile, jagga reddy reacted to the latest development and vowed to show his position to Rewanth. With mla style, the gap between Rewanth and his loyalists is likely to widen further. jagga reddy, however, said that this was an issue between him and Rewanth and that the party had nothing to do with it. jagga reddy said he was ready to work with sonia gandhi and rahul Gandhi-appointed PCC chief. Rewanth, who was appointed tpcc chief in July last year, has been widely criticized by party leaders for his 'one man' show. 

The appointment of Rewanth reddy, who is known for his aggressive style, was seen as an attempt by the leadership to breathe new life into a party that had previously been a bastion. Recently, the situation has changed as venkat and Rewanth are moving forward together. Revanth's business style has angered a section of seniors. He was blamed for the party's rout in the by-elections to the huzurabad assembly seat late last year.

However, the party's central leadership, concerned over the impact of infighting on the party's image, seems to be planning some drastic measures to improve the state congress situation ahead of next year's assembly elections.
