As tamil Nadu is one of the leading states in india in providing public distribution services to the people, the government of tamil Nadu is planning to expand this section of the service on a large scale.
This is a great announcement for new ration cardholders. When the government headed by Food minister Sakkarapani, MK stalin took charge on May 7, 2021, in response to a question raised during question time in the tamil Nadu Legislative assembly, steps were taken to expedite the completion of stagnant work in all sectors.
According to minister Sakkarapani, about 15,74,543 applications have been submitted across tamil Nadu for the family card in the 10 months from May 2021 to march 14, 2021. Food minister Sakkarapani said that after reviewing the applications received, 10,92,064 eligible applicants have been issued new family cards, ie ration cards.
Food minister Sakkarapani told the assembly that arrangements have been made to issue a family card within the next 15 days to anyone who applies for a family card in the near future.
Also, there are many problems in buying goods in ration shops nowadays, especially if the family members keep the fingerprints and the goods are delivered only properly.
Anyone over the age of 5 in the family can get the goods at a fair price shop as the fingerprint verification system cannot be implemented in many places due to fingerprint wear. Food minister Sakkarapani said the new facilities are currently being implemented across tamil Nadu.
