Pearl City Mayor - Simple, Smart and Striving, following footsteps of his leader, the TN CM
Thoothukudi Mayor Mr.Jegan Periyasamy is thoroghly busy with shaping up Thoothukudi into a smart city, ever since acquiring the responsibility as Mayor on march 4, 2022. He is quite simple, smart in work and above all accessible and approachable to even commoners. This evening when he was seen inspecting the proceedings of the muthu Nagar beach renovation and improvement works he told that the beach was expected to be reopened in 10 days. He spoke positively about the proposed amusement activities to be brought in in near future.
Other than his visit and supervision at the beach, he also spurred the other smart city works including construction of roads, old bus stand renovation and so on. Mr.Jegan Periyasamy spins around through the nook and corner of the city, is completely down to earth and listens to the public opinion and grievances with an attitude to seek for solutions.

Earlier, he inspected a park at Tooveypuram and assured to clear the stagnated rain water and debris. When intimated about insufficient water supply in a particular area he immediately talked to the concerned officials to provide proper water supply. The simplicity, smartness and sincere striving of the son of Kalaignar's Murattu Bakthan and the brother of minister Mrs. geetha Jeevan and an ardent follower of the tamilnadu CM, as a Mayor is quite appreciable and applaudable. It is expected that he should keep on the track throughout his tenure and add a name to the party and its leader he belongs to.
