Malala lodged a strong objection to Taliban's decree?...


Recently, the Taliban issued a new decree making it mandatory for women to wear a burqa. Now Pakistan's Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai has lodged a strong objection to this decree. Malala has urged world leaders to take collective action to hold the Taliban accountable for violations of human rights laws.

Even now women in afghanistan are taking to the streets, fighting for their rights, for their respect. All of us, especially Muslim countries, should stand up for them. Malala called on world leaders to take collective action to hold the Taliban accountable for violations of human rights laws.


Taliban had issued this decree

On Saturday, the Taliban issued a decree ordering Afghan women to wear burqa in public places. Afghanistan's supreme leader and Taliban chief Hibatullah Akhundzada issued this decree during a ceremony in Kabul on Saturday. Along with this, he warned that if the decree is not followed, the woman along with her family members will also be considered guilty according to Islamic law and will be subject to punishment.
