These MPs have alleged that Johnson allowed these parties to happen at the Prime Minister's residence (Downing Street) under his leadership and he himself attended them despite the difficult times.

A poll of voters ahead of the june 23 by-election in Wakefield revealed that the scandal could result in the Conservative party losing even by a margin of 20 per cent. The survey, conducted by the sunday Times and JL Partners, said that the Labor party could get 48 percent and the Conservative party 28 percent in the upcoming by-election. That is, it can get 19 percent less votes than the winning voting percentage of two and a half years ago.

That is, any such result will directly force the demand for Johnson's resignation in the party itself. This is because Wakefield's constituency was, until recently, a major supporter of the Labor Party. But in the last election of 2019, the Conservative party had won in this area.
