DMK leader A raja has warned prime minister Narendra Modi and Union home minister amit shah to give autonomy to tamil Nadu. He said that they should not be forced to demand a separate tamil state. bjp retaliated against his statement.
In this meeting, DMK leader A raja said that Thanthai Periyar, a symbol of the Dravidian movement, stood for an independent tamil Nadu as long as he lived. Now the DMK has moved away from it. Our cm is following the path of Annadurai. Even though the party accepted Periyar, it supported integrity and democracy, and still, the party sticks to it. In such a situation, now we should not be forced to go on the way of Periyar.
We request the central government to give us the right to self-government. He further said that even though now the DMK has backed out from the demand for a separate state, now we are demanding autonomy of the state and are not doing it in any pride.’
"I warn those who violate it will be punished. Legal action will be taken," he said. stalin said many of his close friends were telling him that he had become "too much" democratic. "If indiscipline and irregularities go to their heads, I will become a dictator and take action," he said.
